Planetary camera refresh?

While the 290 is a great camera, The venerable 224MC is still king in my experience, deep sky and planetary both superb.

My question is, just as the 224MC was a planetary killer, is there a possibility of another on the horizon?

length of exposure of single frame depand on the background level.

Please clarify. I normally shoot 8 second to 1 minute per exposure
